Ultrasound Tech, PRN New

Schedule: Varies, PRN as needed. The PRN Technologist is required to assist with coverage of fellow staff members with vacation, illness, holiday coverage, etc.

Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited program or college/university, required.
• ARRT Vascular Sonography Certification, required.
• ARDMS Certification, preferred.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Minimum (one) 1 year experience, required for PRN positions.

Responsibilities:

• Performs ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending Physician.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis
• Performs vascular procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for imaging diagnosis.
• Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfactory patient identification obtained prior to conducting procedure.
